In 2001, the Horton’s Home Lighting family came together to make a difference in the fight against cancer when one of our co-workers was diagnosed with this terrible disease. Pam Herts lost her battle to breast cancer at the age of 31 leaving behind a 1-year-old son who would never know his mother, a family that was devastated by the loss, and a team of co-workers whose lives would forever be changed.
Pam’s story inspired the creation of The H Foundation right here at Hortons and 19 years later our entire Hortons “family” continues to play a critical role as part of the H Foundation Executive Board and through our efforts on the Event committees. Since 2001, The H Foundation has raised nearly $9 million to support basic science cancer research at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. We are so proud to continue to be a partner of The H Foundation and our mission to find a cure for cancer because CANCER IS PERSONAL TO ALL OF US.
On April 17th The H Foundation will host Comedy for Cancer! Staying true to The H Foundation roots, this will be an event like no other. From nationally recognized comedians, to a historic venue, this is a “buzz-worthy” event that EVERYONE can be involved in!
We are bringing the fight BACK to the community. BACK to where it all began. BACK to friends getting together and deciding to make a difference.
You, your friends, and your business can be part of that difference! JOIN OUR HORTONS FAMILY and let’s cure cancer together.
